Rockstar Reveals GTA 6 Details Amid Speculation

Grand Theft Auto fans have plenty of reasons to rejoice in 2025 as Rockstar Games confirmed that GTA 6 will take players back to Vice City. The game’s launch date and platform availability have been a subject of speculation, but Take-Two Interactive has revealed some key details.

GTA 6 is expected to be released sometime in the fall of 2025, although Obbe Vermeij, Rockstar North technical director, hinted that it may hit later due to delays. The game will initially be available on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 Pro consoles.

In terms of gameplay, GTA 6 will feature a modern-day setting with Vice City as the main hub. The state of Leonida will also include areas like the Everglades, Starfish Island, and iconic locations such as the Ocean View Hotel and Malinu Club. A new trailer released in 2023 showed two protagonists, including a female lead named Lucia.

Rockstar Games has traditionally launched GTA games on consoles first, with PC versions following later. The company may not release a PC version until 2027 due to performance requirements. Additionally, a report by Bloomberg suggested that Rockstar plans to add more cities and interior locations after the game’s launch.

A second trailer for GTA 6 is rumored to be released soon, which could provide further insight into the game’s details. With just a few months left before the game’s release, fans can expect more updates from Rockstar Games in the coming weeks.
