Samsung’s next flagship, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, is set to take on Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max in a key area: screen brightness. The new phone will reportedly be capable of hitting 3,000 nits, just like the Pixel 9 Pro and surpassing its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
This improvement is significant for users who want to enjoy their phones outdoors without straining their eyes. While it falls short of OnePlus’s record-breaking 4,500 nits, it still provides a substantial boost in brightness.
Other notable features include seamless A/B updates, which allow the phone to download firmware updates in the background before applying them on reboot. Additionally, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will retain its high-resolution display (3,120 x 1,440) and large battery capacity (5,000 mAh), while also featuring faster UFS 4.0 storage for improved file-transfer speeds.
However, there’s a potential drawback: the phone won’t support Find My Device functionality when switched off, unlike some other flagship models. Nevertheless, with its impressive specs and features, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is shaping up to be an exciting new contender in the smartphone market.
