Atari’s upcoming retro gaming handheld, the Gamestation Go, has been teased again, offering a closer look at its unique design. Developed in collaboration with My Arcade, this device is expected to bring classic Atari games to users on-the-go.
The Gamestation Go boasts an interesting control layout, featuring a numeric keypad and a trackball alongside standard controls found in other gaming handhelds. These additional buttons are likely included for games requiring more than the ABXY buttons and analog stick.
A notable feature of the device is its ability to light up only the necessary buttons during gameplay, as suggested by previous reports. This versatility suggests the Gamestation Go can play a wider range of classic Atari titles beyond just basic games.
Although specs have not been released yet, the Gamestation Pro has already been showcased with over 200 built-in games. The new handheld is also expected to feature a microSD card reader for easy game library expansion and various ports including HDMI, headphone jack, and two USB-C ports.
More details about the Gamestation Go are set to be revealed at CES 2025.
