Comedian Nikki Glaser has confirmed she won’t make jokes about Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni during her hosting duties at the 82nd annual Golden Globes. Glaser, 40, expressed concerns that any mention of their legal battles would be misinterpreted as taking sides.
“I think the Blake Lively–Justin Baldoni thing is a hot-button issue,” Glaser said in an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment. “I don’t want to give his name any more attention.”
Glaser aims to avoid controversy and focus on providing a respectful ceremony for the honorees. She has emphasized that she’s not trying to be provocative or inflammatory.
The Golden Globes, airing live on CBS on January 5 at 8 p.m. ET, will feature Glaser’s comedic take on the awards show.
