Jets Secure 32-20 Win Over Dolphins in Week 18

The New York Jets ended the season with a 32-20 victory over the Miami Dolphins, giving their fans something to be happy about despite finishing 5-12. The win also eliminated Miami from the postseason after their loss and Denver Broncos win.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers led the Jets’ offense, completing 23 of 36 passes for 274 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. Rodgers threw his 500th touchdown to tight end Tyler Conklin in the second quarter and connected with Breece Hall, Davante Adams, and Allen Lazard for additional scores.

Running back Isaiah Davis had a strong game on the ground, scoring four carries for 41 yards. The Jets’ run offense showed promise, with three potentially good running backs vying for a prominent role next season.

The defense contained Miami quarterback Tyler Huntley, who struggled to complete passes and fumbled the ball multiple times. Pass rusher Will McDonald had a half sack, while cornerback Ashtyn Davis intercepted two passes and defended several others.

Special teams unit performed well, with kicker Greg Joseph making his only field goal attempt and all three extra points. Coach Jeff Ulbrich’s team showed resilience in the face of adversity, coming from behind to secure the win despite having nothing to play for.

With the season over, the Jets’ future is uncertain. Will Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams return? What will happen to Garrett Wilson? The questions surrounding the team’s new coach and GM will need to be answered in the offseason.
