Dancer and former wife of late DJ tWitch, Stephen Boss, reveals the devastating discovery she made about his life after his death by suicide in 2022. Weeks after his passing, Holker found a “cornucopia” of drugs hidden inside her shoeboxes.
Holker, 36, had believed that she and Boss had an open relationship regarding his marijuana use. However, as she combed through his journals hoping to find closure, she discovered painful secrets he had kept from even those closest to him. He struggled with feelings of shame and did not want to burden anyone with his pain.
Holker has spoken out about the importance of mental health awareness in hopes of saving others who may be struggling in silence. She believes that people with mental health issues are often misunderstood, saying “People that have a lot of light, they still have gone through a lot of dark.”
The 36-year-old dancer is now sharing her experiences and struggles through her new memoir, “This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light,” which will be released on February 4th. Holker hopes that by sharing her story, she can help others find the resources they need to cope with their own mental health struggles.
Holker’s journey is a powerful reminder that mental health affects everyone, regardless of age or background. She encourages others to be open and supportive, saying “It’s just to be an open vessel to them when they’re going through it, listen and allow them the space to be who they are at that moment and not make them feel like it’s wrong.”
