Honda has unveiled its vision for future cars, highlighting advanced technologies that aim to create vehicles that are “partners” in daily life. The Japanese automaker showcased prototypes of the Honda 0 Saloon and SUV models at CES in Las Vegas, which incorporate features like Level 3 Automation and a new OS called ASIMO.
The Honda 0 concept is centered around “ultra personal optimization,” enabling cars to adapt to individual users’ needs and preferences. A video presentation showed how the car could comfort its passenger during times of sadness, while also facilitating joyful moments with personalized colors and landscapes.
Honda’s Chief Officer Katsushi Inoue emphasized that this vision is not far-fetched, but rather a logical progression from existing technologies. The company has developed ASIMO to determine how humans and robots can coexist, which will now be applied to future Zero products. Key features of the Honda 0 Saloon and SUV include “hyper personalization” of the user experience and advanced AI capabilities.
These developments mark a significant step towards Honda’s goal of creating intelligent cars that enhance users’ lives. As the company continues to advance its technologies, it remains to be seen how close these prototypes will come to realizing Inoue’s vision for a future where vehicles are “partners” in daily life.
