Honda Unveils New Electric Vehicles for US Market

Honda Motor has unveiled its newest electric vehicles, the Honda 0 Saloon and Honda 0 SUV, which are set to be produced at a multibillion-dollar manufacturing complex in Ohio. The production models are expected to launch in North America in 2026, starting with the SUV.

The new vehicles feature sleek, future-esque designs and are being developed with three core principles: “Thin, light and wise.” Honda took feedback from its previous concept car revealed at CES last year for the new models.

Lance Woelfer, vice president of American Honda Motor automobile sales, stated that the company used customer feedback to gain additional confidence in their products.

In addition to the electric vehicles, Honda also announced a new vehicle operating system called “Asimo OS” which will offer highly automated driving technologies such as hands-free driving. This operating system will be installed in all Honda 0 Series models, including production models of the SUV and Saloon.

Honda’s plans for the new electric vehicles come at a time when other Japanese automakers are also expanding their EV offerings. The company’s tie-up with Sony unveiled its first EV model, called AFEELA 1, which is expected to go on sale in California this year.

The Honda 0 Saloon and Honda 0 SUV will be available in two trims for the AFEELA 1 sedan, with prices starting from $89,900.
