Three Palestinians Killed in Israeli Airstrike on West Bank

Three Palestinian children were among those killed in an Israeli airstrike in the West Bank on Wednesday, according to Palestinian officials. The strike followed an attack that killed three Israelis on Monday, which was claimed by Hamas’s armed wing, al-Qassam Brigades.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it conducted several strikes in Gaza’s Khan Younis area, targeting Hamas militants who participated in the October 7, 2023, attack. The strikes killed at least 18 people, including women and children.

In the Gaza Strip, at least 51 people were killed on Wednesday, bringing the total death toll since October 7 to at least 45,936. The majority of those killed are women and children.

The conflict has been ongoing for over a year, with tensions spilling into the surrounding Middle East region. A cease-fire deal between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah was brokered in November 2024, but hostilities have continued, including an Israeli invasion of southern Lebanon.

The situation remains volatile, with no clear end to the violence in sight. The United States continues to support Israel, despite tensions with some U.S. politicians, including President Biden.
