Trump’s Ambitions and Winter Health Concerns Emerge

As a reporter who recently investigated the collapse of Steward Health Care hospital chain, I’m now taking on Starting Point for most of this month. In today’s edition, we’ll delve into several pressing issues.

One such concern is the spread of bird flu in the US. However, President-elect Donald Trump has more pressing ambitions. He hasn’t ruled out using the military to seize control of Greenland and the Panama Canal. Additionally, he wants to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America and believes windmills off Massachusetts’ coast are driving whales crazy.

Massachusetts is also experiencing a surge in cases of norovirus, commonly known as the nasty stomach bug. This winter season, these cases are up significantly compared to last year.

Music fans were recently saddened by the passing of Peter Yarrow at 86. A renowned folk musician and part of the iconic trio Peter, Paul, and Mary, Yarrow majored in psychology but found his true calling in music.

As President Joe Biden prepares to leave office, he will establish two national monuments in California: the Chuckwalla National Monument in Southern California and the Sáttítla National Monument in Northern California.
