Genki Unveils Switch 2 Accessories Ahead of Nintendo’s Reveal

Genki, a console accessory maker, has debuted its upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 accessories at CES in Las Vegas, fueling speculation about the console’s imminent release. The company’s mock-up of the Switch 2, which includes magnetic Joy-Cons and an optical sensor, lends credibility to several months of leaked information.

The Switch 2 is reportedly backward-compatible with existing games, will use Nintendo accounts, and be compatible with the Nintendo Switch Online service. While a release date remains uncertain, Genki’s presentation suggests that Nintendo may announce the console before March 2025.

Genki has also revealed a U-shaped kickstand and an unconfirmed “C” button on its mock-up. The exact pricing of the Switch 2 is still unknown, but it’s estimated to be around $349, similar to the Nintendo Switch OLED model.
