Delta Air Lines Unveils Enhanced In-Flight Entertainment and Tech Features

Delta Air Lines has announced plans to upgrade its in-flight entertainment system with new 4K HDR QLED screens, available in all cabins starting from 2026. The airline is partnering with Thales Avionics to install the high-definition screens, which will provide passengers with ultra-high-definition entertainment at ultra-high altitudes.

Delta’s in-flight entertainment will feature an advanced recommendation engine tailored to each passenger’s unique taste, as well as Bluetooth connectivity for travelers to pair their personal devices. The airline has also tested out Bluetooth connectivity and plans to roll it out to all cabins by 2026.

The new system will include features such as a “Do Not Disturb” mode for seat-back screens, allowing passengers to sleep without disturbance. Delta is also revamping its app to include an AI-powered “Concierge” chatbot that uses location and travel information to suggest more efficient routes and notify users about upcoming passport expirations or visa requirements.

The airline has also partnered with Uber and YouTube to offer new features for air travelers, including ad-free streaming on YouTube and the ability to link their Uber account to earn miles. Delta is working with Airbus to design more fuel-efficient airplanes, aiming to have sustainable aviation fuel make up at least 95% of its fuel consumption by 2050.

The upgrades will be available in all cabins, not just first class, and come as part of Delta’s efforts to enhance the passenger experience and stay competitive in the industry.
