$2 Billion Powerball Winner Loses Coastal Home to Wildfires

Powerball winner Edwin Castro’s Malibu home was destroyed in the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. The mansion, which Castro purchased just months ago for $3.8 million, is now nothing but rubble after a fierce blaze swept through the area. Castro also owns two other homes: one worth $25.5 million in the Hollywood Hills and another he bought for his parents in Altadena, costing $4 million.

While some of Castro’s properties were unscathed by the fires, including his father’s home, which remains standing, others are not as lucky. The wildfires have highlighted the risks faced by high-net-worth individuals, who often own multiple properties in areas prone to natural disasters.
