Actor Joshua Jackson has lost his Los Angeles home due to the ongoing wildfires. His representative confirmed to PEOPLE on January 12 that the 46-year-old actor’s home was destroyed, but thankfully, he is surrounded by loved ones.
Jackson expressed gratitude for the safe escape of his family, including his daughter Juno and other close neighbors. He shared a personal message, stating, “I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by the people I love.”
The wildfires have caused widespread destruction, with over 40,000 acres burned and more than 12,000 structures lost. The death toll has risen to 16, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
Jackson recently opened up about his relationship with Juno on Instagram Live, sharing his decision to buy back their childhood home from her ex-partner’s family. He described the house as a place where he can model a happy and healthy father-daughter relationship for his child.
The wildfires have also brought attention to the importance of personal growth, with Jackson finding solace in purchasing his childhood home. He revealed that reuniting with the mural on his daughter’s bedroom wall was a “very healing thing” for him, symbolizing the love and connection he shares with Juno.
