Eagles Dominate Packers in Wild-Card Playoff Win

The Philadelphia Eagles secured their spot in the divisional round with a 22-10 victory over the Green Bay Packers in the wild-card playoff game on Sunday night. Quarterback Jalen Hurts led the team to the win, throwing two touchdown passes and playing with no hesitation after returning from a three-week concussion layoff.

Hurts’ first TD pass was a highlight-reel catch by tight end Dallas Goedert, who threw three stiff-arms to shake off defenders before securing the ball. The Eagles’ defense dominated the game, forcing two interceptions on Jordan Love in the first half and holding the Packers to just 10 points at halftime.

The Eagles took control of the game with a 24-yard TD pass from Hurts to Goedert in the third quarter, but the Packers responded with a touchdown of their own. However, the Eagles’ defense held strong, forcing a turnover on downs with just over five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

Quinyon Mitchell sealed the win for the Eagles with an interception of Love at 1:51 left in the game, giving the team a crucial momentum boost heading into their next matchup.

Hurts finished the game with 131 yards passing and said he was happy to be back on the field, despite struggling early. “I think it’s been an odd year in a sense of how choppy it’s been,” Hurts said. “Being back and just getting into that rhythm and leaving it all out there right now, that’s what it’s about.”

The Eagles’ defense was praised by their coach, Nick Sirianni, who said they “played better than us” in the game. The team will host a divisional round game next week at Lincoln Financial Field.

With the win, the Eagles advance to the divisional round and secure their spot in the playoffs.
