Bills Edge Broncos 31-7 to Move On to Divisional Round

Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott said Sunday’s 31-7 win over the Denver Broncos was “what everyone’s been waiting for,” as the No. 2 seed team advances to the divisional round with a commanding performance. Quarterback Josh Allen led the way, throwing for 272 yards and two touchdowns, while the rushing attack earned 210 yards.

The Bills’ defense limited rookie Bo Nix to just 2-of-9 on third down, while Von Miller had six pressures against his former team. The offense outscored Denver by a total of 58 points, with James Cook’s 23 carries for 120 yards and one touchdown contributing significantly to the win.

The matchup against the No. 3 seed Baltimore Ravens next weekend is highly anticipated, featuring two favorites for MVP in Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. Bills coach McDermott acknowledged that the Ravens are a “great football team” with a strong coaching staff, but expressed confidence in his team’s ability to execute.

“We know who we are week after week,” defensive end Greg Rousseau said. “It’s just about going out there and executing, win games.” The win marked the Bills’ seventh of the season by 20 or more points, and left cornerback Rasul Douglas saying that “you can’t harp on two minutes” when discussing a team’s performance.

The team will look to build on this momentum as they face their next challenge.
