Notre Dame Women’s Basketball Overcomes Injury to Hannah Hidalgo

Notre Dame women’s basketball star Hannah Hidalgo missed her first game due to an ankle injury, but the team still managed to win 67-58 against Clemson. The sophomore sensation rolled her ankle in a previous game and was given extra rest by coaches to ensure she’s fully recovered for the rest of the season.

Despite losing their starting point guard, the Irish team stepped up and performed well. Liatu King led the charge with 23 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, while Olivia Miles contributed 17 points and nine assists. Notre Dame coach Niele Ivey praised her team’s effort, saying they showed great teamwork despite being down a key player.

Hidalgo has been averaging impressive numbers this season, but her injury means she’ll have to wait until Thursday’s game against Georgia Tech to make her next appearance.
