Tesla has finally unveiled the revamped Model Y “Juniper”, boasting a futuristic design, refined interior, and improved performance. The 2025 model boasts a new aerodynamic setup, acoustic glass, and noise-optimized tires for a smoother ride. The interior gets an upgrade with a larger infotainment display, extra touchscreen for rear passengers, and improved seat design.
The exterior features a bold new look with split headlights, full-width LED light bar, and slim side intakes. The Model Y now rides on 20-inch Helix 2.0 wheels or 19-inch Crossflow wheels in black. A new lighter shade of blue called “Glacier Blue” replaces the darker “Deep Blue” metallic.
Tesla claims the new model is quieter, more refined, and quicker than before, thanks to its revised chassis setup, retuned suspension, and noise-optimized tires. The Full Self-Driving capability remains available as an option. The 2025 Model Y will be initially available in two trims: RWD and Long Range AWD.
The WLTP range is estimated at 466 km and 551 km respectively, with a slight increase compared to the outgoing model. Deliveries are expected to start in April or May 2025 depending on the market, with prices starting at AU$63,400 for the RWD trim and AU$73,400 for the Long Range AWD “Launch Edition”.
