UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov was escorted off a Frontier Airlines flight after a dispute over his seat on a flight from Las Vegas to San Francisco. The incident occurred when the flight attendant asked Nurmagomedov if he could assist in an emergency, but he did not respond.
Nurmagomedov, 36, commented on the incident, stating that he was surprised why he was removed from his seat and felt the staff member’s behavior was rude. He claimed that airport staffers had previously confirmed he spoke English when he checked in.
Frontier Airlines stated that Nurmagomedov did not respond to their repeated requests for assistance, putting him out of compliance with FAA regulations. As a result, he was asked to move to another seat but refused.
Nurmagomedov’s team has been tight-lipped about the incident, and representatives have yet to comment on the matter. The UFC fighter had an undefeated 29-0 record during his career, holding the lightweight championship title from April 2018 until March 2021.
