A US judge has cleared the way for the Justice Department to release a part of a report on Donald Trump’s alleged election subversion, ending a long-standing block. The decision comes after President-elect Trump denied any wrongdoing in both cases. Former Special Counsel Jack Smith formally resigned as he brought two criminal cases against Trump but saw them halted due to sweeping immunity from prosecution for former presidents.
