Hoda Kotb can finally get some rest after wrapping up her 17-year run as a co-host on the “Today” show. The television personality shared a photo of her phone with alarms set to 3:00 am, 3:15 am, and 3:30 am turned off on social media.
The move marks the end of Kotb’s time alongside Craig Melvin, who made his debut as co-anchor last week. A heartwarming video showcasing Melvin’s career highlights left him emotional during his first day on the show. Savannah Guthrie presented him with a letter from Kotb, which read: “Day One, you are ready surrounded by love…I am cheering for you, and a fabulous run!”
Kotb also posted a message on her Instagram account, expressing her support for Melvin’s new chapter and welcoming the start of fresh beginnings. The mother of two daughters, Haley (8) and Hope (5), plans to spend more time with family while deciding her next move professionally.
As Kotb transitions to this new phase, fans can’t help but wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
