Bills-Jaxsonville Weather Outlook: Chilly Conditions Ahead?

The Buffalo Bills are set to face the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4, with kickoff scheduled for Sunday night. The temperature at kickoff is expected to be around 64°F, but a cold front is moving into the area, bringing temperatures down to potentially just above freezing by game time.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, known for his winter attire during games, was spotted wearing a hood and winter hat on the sidelines despite not feeling cold. However, he has experienced extremely low temperatures in previous games, including 27 degrees in one instance, which is significantly colder than Western New York’s average winter temperatures.

In contrast, Bills quarterback Josh Allen hails from Wyoming, where he played numerous snow games during his college days. One notable performance came against the New England Patriots in January 2022, when he threw five touchdowns despite a wind chill of -4°F.

The Buffalo Bills have excelled in cold-weather conditions under coach Sean McDermott, boasting a 14-2 record when temperatures are below 32 degrees since 1991. The Ravens, on the other hand, have struggled with cold weather, having played only one sub-freezing temperature game, which they won.

While there is currently only a 30% chance of snow on Sunday, per Weather.com, the cold front may impact player behavior and grip of the football. Stay tuned for further updates as the game approaches.
