Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, made a personal revelation about her experience of receiving cancer treatment during her first official engagement of the year. On January 14, she visited The Royal Marsden Hospital, where she received treatment, and met with patients undergoing chemotherapy.

At the hospital, Princess Kate shared her feelings about having a chemotherapy port, which is a small implantable device attached to a vein used for treatments like chemotherapy. She expressed that she had become attached to it but joked about having it removed. The princess also spoke about the importance of positive mindset and companionship among patients.

Princess Kate praised the care team at Royal Marsden Hospital, saying they were “fantastic” and made her feel in good hands. She thanked the center for caring for her during her treatment and expressed her gratitude to the staff who supported William and her throughout their journey.

The princess also shared that she hopes to use her new role as patron to support research, clinical excellence, and patient wellbeing, with the aim of saving lives and transforming cancer experiences. In a heartfelt message on X, Princess Kate revealed she was in remission and thanked everyone for their continued support.
