Israel has delayed a cabinet vote on a ceasefire deal with Hamas, citing the group’s alleged breach of an agreement. The deal, which included releasing Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners in exchange for a halt to hostilities, was reached on Wednesday but faced a brief setback.
According to reports, at least 45 people were killed in Gaza City just hours after the deal was announced. The three-phase deal is set to begin on Sunday, with many details remaining unclear.
International aid agencies welcomed the agreement and called for unhindered access to Gaza to address humanitarian concerns. Despite this, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has refused to comment until all details are finalized.
