Samsung has announced its expansion of its flagship soundbar series for 2025, introducing two new models that promise exceptional audio quality and seamless convenience. The new soundbars aim to deliver an immersive and personalized audio experience for every user.
The HW-Q990F is a direct successor to the award-winning HW-Q990D, featuring a similar 11.1.4-channel setup but with improved speakers and a more powerful subwoofer. The new cube-shaped sub is half the size of its predecessor, packing dual active 8-inch woofers that deliver robust bass and ultra-low-frequency precision.
Samsung’s AI-driven sound optimization features are also being upgraded, including Active Voice Amplifier Pro and Dynamic Bass Control. These features analyze content in real-time to reduce background noise and improve vocal clarity, resulting in balanced and distortion-free sound. Q-Symphony returns, allowing users to combine the speakers with TV speakers or Samsung Music Frames for an expanded immersive sound system.
The new HW-Q700F is a convertible Dolby Atmos soundbar that can be positioned in two ways to suit either a tabletop or wall-mounted placement. This 3.1.2 channel soundbar delivers “an audio experience as sophisticated as its design” regardless of positioning, thanks to its built-in gyroscopic sensor.
Pricing and availability for the new soundbars have not been announced yet, but they are expected to launch in the Spring of this year. A range of mid-range and entry-level bars is also planned for release in due course.
