Fortune’s Run Developer Sentenced to Prison, Game’s Future Uncertain

Fortune’s Run, a sci-fi immersive sim and shooter RPG, has been left in uncertainty after its developer revealed she’s going to prison. Dizzie, the creator of the game, announced on her Steam page that she’s been sentenced to 3 years in prison due to past mistakes.

The game, currently in early access for $20, had gained a cult following with praise from critics and players alike. However, its future is now uncertain as Dizzie faces consequences for her past actions. The game was expected to receive more updates and content, but the developer’s absence has raised concerns about its completion.

Fortune’s Run is a mission-based shooter with a grimy post-apocalyptic punk visual style reminiscent of early Fallout games. Despite Dizzie’s announcement, fans can still purchase the game on Steam. In her statement, Dizzie acknowledged that the game’s development has been marred by personal issues and expressed regret for the consequences.

Dizzie left players with one last update before her departure, including new missions, story sequences, puzzles, objects to interact with, and hundreds of bug fixes. However, this update will break existing saves, and it’s unclear if Dizzie will communicate with fans again before development goes on hiatus.
