Samsung’s latest smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Slim, has left many fans underwhelmed due to its oversized design. Contrary to expectations, the phone boasts a 6.2-inch screen size, similar to that of its larger counterparts, the S24 Plus and S25 Plus.
The phone’s dimensions are also surprising, measuring 159mm in height and 6.4mm in thickness, making it comparable to the Oppo Reno 13. In contrast, the Galaxy A36 mid-ranger features a 7.4mm profile and a 6.6-inch screen with a massive 5,000mAh battery.
The lack of innovation in design and battery capacity has raised concerns about Samsung’s strategy behind the Galaxy S25 Slim. The phone’s release has been delayed until next year, sparking questions about what makes it special enough to warrant such a wait.
The device’s similarities to its larger siblings have led some to speculate that it may not be more than an iterative update. With no clear purpose or target audience identified, the Galaxy S25 Slim seems to lack a convincing selling point.
