Former Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten could be in contention for a head coaching position on the team’s staff by 2025. However, when asked about his name being considered for the vacancy, Witten declined to comment.
According to reports, Witten acknowledged some interest in the situation, but he has limited experience as a coach. His only prior coaching stint was at Liberty Christian School in Argyle, where he led the team to back-to-back state championships.
Notably, none of Jerry Jones’ previous seven head coaching hires had the same level of experience or connection as Garrett, who is the only former Cowboys player to hold the position.
