Coldplay Delights Indian Audience with Emotional Performance

Coldplay kicked off their highly anticipated tour of India with a thrilling performance in Mumbai, winning over millions of hearts. The band, led by Chris Martin, expressed gratitude to the audience for warmly welcoming them.

At the DY Patil Stadium concert, Martin acknowledged the pre-independence history between the UK and India, saying “Thank you for forgiving us for everything the Britishers did.” This thoughtful gesture was met with cheers from the crowd.

The performance featured Coldplay’s biggest hits, including Paradise, Viva La Vida, and Adventure of a Lifetime. The band also interacted with fans, greeting them in Hindi and reading placards held by enthusiastic supporters.

A surprise moment came when Martin spotted “Jai Shri Ram” on one of the signs and uttered it spontaneously, prompting cheers from the crowd. He even asked about the meaning of the phrase.

Coldplay will perform again in Mumbai on January 21 and 22 before heading to Ahmedabad for concerts on January 25 and 26, which will be streamed live on Disney+ Hotstar.
