Falcon 9 Launch Delayed Until Sunday Morning

A planned launch of a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base has been postponed until at least Sunday morning. The new liftoff time is set for 7:35 a.m., with backup opportunities available up to 11:14 a.m.

The reason for the delay was not disclosed by SpaceX. However, the company did say that residents in nearby areas may experience sonic booms during the launch due to weather conditions.

The mission aims to deploy 27 Starlink satellites into orbit, expanding the global internet constellation. After completing its job, the first-stage booster will attempt to land on a drone ship in the Pacific Ocean.

A live webcast of the mission can be streamed online at www.spacex.com or on X @SpaceX, approximately five minutes prior to liftoff.
