A woman’s friend ghosted her after accepting the role of a bridesmaid, only to resurface on her big day. Celina shared her story in a viral TikTok video that has resonated with millions.
Celina had high hopes for her wedding when she asked her friend to be by her side, but things took an unexpected turn. The friend initially accepted and even attended a fancy dinner and customized bridesmaid proposal box. However, as the wedding planning progressed, the friend stopped responding.
“We’re in this group chat and we start throwing out ideas,” Celina recalls. “Everyone was very collaborative and very excited, giving their two cents. But from her, there wasn’t even a thumbs up. There wasn’t a sidebar conversation.”
The friend remained silent for months, until just before the wedding day when she sent a text message apologizing for avoiding Celina. However, it was too late to make amends.
“If it were my freaking 30th birthday party, I would get it,” Celina says. “But this is my wedding … it just wasn’t good enough for me.”
Despite being down one bridesmaid, Celina’s wedding party was supportive and enjoyable. She believes that the experience has taught her not to sweat the small stuff and to focus on enjoying newlywed life with her husband.
