Iran Judges Stabbed to Death Amid Lacking Clue

Two Supreme Court judges were shot dead in Tehran, leaving behind a mysterious attack that remains unexplained. Mohammad Moghiseh and Ali Razini, both clerics, were targeted in the rare deadly incident.

Reports initially indicated that a third judge was involved, but this claim was later denied by the Judiciary. State media stated that the attacker committed suicide after shooting them. The Judiciary Media Center described the incident as a premeditated assassination targeting experienced judges known for their fight against national security and terrorism.

According to officials, the shooter was an IRGC-affiliated staff member responsible for refreshments at the judiciary headquarters who used a handgun in the attack. However, some reports suggest that the assailant entered from outside. The Judiciary has taken measures to investigate and apprehend those involved.

In the wake of the incident, several members of staff at Tehran’s Courthouse were arrested by the prosecutor’s orders. The Judiciary has also focused on identifying and prosecuting individuals affiliated with the “despised Zionist regime,” which was previously linked to an assassination attempt against Judge Razini.
