Adam Scott Recreates Severance Pop-Up with Grand Central Terminal Setup

Apple TV+ Star Adam Scott Downplays Daring Stunt, Hints at Upcoming Season 2

Adam Scott, star of the Apple TV+ mystery-box drama Severance, laughed off criticism of the viral marketing stunt that recreated the show’s eerie office setting in New York City’s Grand Central Terminal. The pop-up display was part of a long-anticipated promotional push for Season 2, which premiered on Jan. 17 after nearly three years of anticipation.

Scott and his co-stars Patricia Arquette, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, and Tramell Tillman spent three hours in character, performing monotonous office work that captivated onlookers. The stunt was seen as a commentary on surveillance, the nature of work, and the interplay between the two in modern society.

During an interview with Stephen Colbert, Scott shared behind-the-scenes stories from the making of Season 2, including the grueling process of filming a dramatic running sequence that took almost five months to complete.
