Samsung is set to unveil its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S25 series, on January 22 at 1 PM ET. The event will be livestreamed on Samsung’s official website and YouTube platforms. In anticipation of the launch, we’ve compiled a comprehensive guide to everything we know so far.
The Galaxy S25 series is expected to feature four colors for the standard model and “Midnight Black” option for the S25 Plus. The S25 Ultra will be available in four different shades of Titanium.
According to display analyst Ross Young, Samsung’s sales target for the Galaxy S25 series includes 22 million units by June 2025 and 11 million Ultras. This would account for around 30% of total sales, with the S25 Plus expected to sell better, aiming for 35-40% in North America.
Pre-ordering the Galaxy S25 series will earn you a $50 voucher and up to $1,250 trade-in credit when the phone goes live. However, Samsung’s charging speed remains unchanged at 25W, despite previous reports of faster speeds.
Leaks suggest that the Galaxy S25 will have a similar design to its predecessor, with flat edges, rounded corners, and a 6.2-inch display. The phone is expected to use Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 or Exynos chips instead of Exynos SoC.
The Galaxy S25 is rumored to feature a 50MP main lens, along with a 12MP ultrawide and 10MP telephoto sensor offering 3x optical zoom. Samsung has also been spotted testing an Android XR headset and cheaper foldable phone, but these details are yet to be confirmed.
Stay tuned for updates as we approach the launch date on January 22.
