Matty Healy is reportedly writing a song about his relationship with Taylor Swift on The 1975’s upcoming album. This comes after fans speculated that several tracks on Swift’s 2024 album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ contained references to her time with Healy, who was previously linked to Swift in the summer of 2023.
Healy had initially denied writing music inspired by his short-term relationships, but it appears he is now paying attention to the rumors. The Sun reported that a track called “God Has Entered My Body” will feature the lyric “Keep your head up Princess, your tiara is falling”, which fans believe is a nod to Healy and Swift’s relationship.
Fans pointed out several connections between Swift’s album and Healy’s life, including references to his smoking habits and his association with Lucy Dacus. However, it’s unclear whether these lyrics are meant to be taken as direct references or simply coincidental.
The 1975 has not released a new album since 2022, but the band revealed in February last year that they were working on their next record. The album is expected to follow the release of ‘Still… At Their Very Best’, which wrapped up the band’s UK tour in March after initial plans for an indefinite hiatus.
