Apple’s Redesigned Mail App Coming to Mac with macOS 15.4

Apple’s new Mail app is set to arrive on the Mac soon, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The redesigned app was first introduced to iPhone users in December with iOS 18.2, but it has been absent from other platforms.

Gurman revealed that the new Mail app will be included in macOS 15.4, which is expected to enter beta in the coming weeks and debut in April. This update brings several improvements, including AI-powered message prioritization and inbox sorting.

The feature uses machine learning to categorize mail into primary categories such as transactions, promotions, updates, and all other types of emails. Although it’s already available for iPad users, Gurman confirms that Mac customers will receive the upgrade in April.

Some users have expressed skepticism about the new feature, citing its potential to clutter their inbox with unnecessary messages. However, Apple has clearly invested time and resources into developing this enhanced Mail app experience.
