Cooper Kupp’s Future in LA Uncertain Amid Salary Cap and Injury Concerns

The future of Los Angeles Rams star wide receiver Cooper Kupp is clouded due to concerns over his salary cap situation and injuries. Kupp, 31, plans to play next season but isn’t sure if he’ll be back in LA. He has two seasons remaining on his current contract with a $12.5 million base salary in 2025 with $5 million guaranteed. The Rams would save $7.52 million on the salary cap by cutting Kupp before June 1. Kupp has struggled to stay on the field, missing five games this past season due to an ankle injury. With Puka Nacua emerging as the team’s No. 1 receiver, Kupp’s role with the Rams is uncertain. Kupp plans to play next year and “love[s] to be in LA,” but has no clarity on his future with the team.
