Samsung has announced its plans to integrate a new open source spatial audio format called Eclipsa Audio into its 2025 TV and soundbar lineup, as well as its upcoming smartphones. Developed in partnership with Google, Eclipsa Audio aims to make high-quality spatial audio accessible to a wide range of consumers.

In 2025, Samsung plans to launch a certification and brand licensing program to ensure quality assurance for products that support Eclipsa Audio. The company also expects to bring native playback to TVs, soundbars from multiple manufacturers, and the Google Chrome browser later in the year.
