Denver Broncos’ defensive coordinator Vic Fangio has high praise for Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels, calling him “exceptionally talented” and praising his ability to deliver in clutch situations. Fangio’s experience with numerous rookie quarterbacks, including a first season in 1986, hasn’t seen one like Daniels.
Daniels led the team with 25 touchdowns and nine interceptions during the regular season, adding 891 rushing yards and six more rushing touchdowns. In two postseason games, he achieved 567 passing yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions. The young quarterback has already secured five fourth-quarter or overtime comebacks, including a notable win against Fangio’s defense where he threw five touchdowns.
Fangio highlighted Daniels’ exceptional play, stating that “he’s tough to handle.” However, Daniels suffered a loss in Week 11 to the Eagles with zero touchdowns and interceptions. Despite this, Fangio acknowledges Daniels as a standout player due to his impressive performances on the field, particularly under pressure.
