Four Chilean nationals have been arrested in connection with the burglary at Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s home in Ohio. The incident occurred on December 9, 2023, and authorities have linked the suspects to multiple burglaries targeting multi-million dollar residences across the US.
According to court records, a special agent from the Ohio State Highway Patrol spotted suspicious luggage being carried into a vehicle outside a hotel in Fairborn, Ohio, on January 10. The agents arrested Alexander Chavez, Bastian Morales, Jordan Sanchez, and Sergio Cabello, who allegedly used fake identification. A search of their vehicle revealed “two Husky automatic center punch pools” – tools commonly used by South American theft groups to break glass and enter houses.
The arrested men were found to be in the country illegally, and police believe they were involved in the December 9 burglary at Burrow’s home in Hamilton County, Ohio. A Louis Vuitton style bag was also seized from Morales, who had been previously identified as a suspect. The arrest is part of an ongoing investigation targeting multiple South American burglary groups.
Authorities have arrested at least six different groups, with five of them being Chilean nationals, according to a criminal complaint.
