Sixers Struggle Without Embiid, George

The Philadelphia 76ers have shown a clear decline in performance without star players Joel Embiid and Paul George. During their recent loss to the Memphis Grizzlies at home, these two key players’ absence was evident. The team’s lack of organization on offense and struggles with rebounding are significant concerns that need addressing.

Without Embiid and George, the 76ers have struggled against even weaker opponents. Despite an initial win over the Pacers, they fell to struggling teams like the Grizzlies, Raptors, Bucks, and Pistons. Coach Nick Nurse attributed their performance issues to a combination of factors, including health and chemistry among new players.

Rebounding is also a major issue for the 76ers, who rank last in the league with only 40.2 rebounds per game. With Embiid absent, center Andre Drummond has taken on a significant role. However, reserve centers Geurschon Yabusele and Adem Bona have failed to provide adequate support, leading to a dismal performance against the Grizzlies.

The Sixers will face tougher opponents during their upcoming road trip, including the Suns, Clippers, and Lakers. With Embiid’s return still uncertain due to his knee injury, the team’s prospects remain bleak until he reaches full health.
