Google Enhances AI Platform with Action Chaining and Advanced Features

Google has introduced significant updates to its Gemini AI platform, enhancing its capabilities for users. The latest features include chaining actions, multimodal conversations, and integration with Project Astra.

Gemini now allows users to perform multiple tasks sequentially by chaining commands. For example, a user can search for a restaurant using Google Maps and send the result via Messages in one go. This feature is available across all Gemini devices but requires app extensions for seamless operation.

Gemini Live has been upgraded to support multimodal interactions, enabling users to upload images, files, or YouTube videos during conversations. This enhancement is specifically designed for newer devices like the Samsung S25 and Pixel 9.

Additionally, Google’s Project Astra, an AI prototype for mobile interaction, will soon be available on Galaxy S25 and Pixel phones. It allows users to ask questions about objects using their phone’s camera or explore locations without screens when paired with future glasses.
