Shariful Fakir, arrested for allegedly breaking into actor Saif Ali Khan’s Bandra home, faces charges tied to his fingerprints. However, his father, Md. Rohul Amin, disputes the identification, claiming discrepancies in hair styles between the police photo and Shariful. Despite past illegal activities, Rohul asserts his son is not guilty.
Cops revealed that Shariful entered the building via a ladder and duct pipe, cutting rat mesh with a knife during a reenactment. He used the staircase to reach the 10th floor and escaped through a bathroom duct.
Md. Rohul Amin stated: “We may be poor, but we are not criminals… We know he had done several illegal things.” He claimed Shariful faces politically motivated cases in Bangladesh but emphasized his son’s innocence.
Shariful pleads to be released to Bangladesh, saying he would have fled the country if he had stolen valuables from Saif’s flat. He added: “Had I succeeded, I would have fled immediately.”
