DJ Apologizes After Playing Her Father’s Song

DJ T.O., who played a song by the late father of Flau’jae Johnson at a South Carolina basketball game, issued an apology after receiving criticism for the performance. The DJ explained that playing “Cut Friends Instrumental” was not meant to disrespect Johnson and had been a fan of her father’s music for years. However, some questioned his intentions due to social media posts where he humorously referenced the song at an Instagram event. Flau’jae Johnson, carrying on her late father’s legacy as both a musician and basketball player, expressed disapproval of what she described as inappropriate behavior during a social media thread after the game.

The LSU star, whose father was shot and killed in 2003, is now eligible to draft after averaging strong statistical numbers this season.
