Retro Remake’s SuperStation One Preorders Now Available

Retro Remake has announced preorder availability for its highly anticipated SuperStation One console, a custom FPGA machine designed as a next-generation successor to the original PlayStation. Available in black, gray, and translucent blue, the system starts at $149.99 (sold out) with a $225 standard edition priced at $179.99.

The SuperStation One features a PS One-like design but includes ports for a traditional PlayStation controller and memory cards. However, unlike emulating older systems, it operates as a custom MiSTER FPGA machine, supporting games from Atari 5200 to the Sega Saturn. Preorder options include three USB-A ports, an Ethernet port, and an NFC reader for easy game loading. A Micro SD card (64GB) is included, along with power via USB-C.

For video enthusiasts, the SuperStation One supports multiple input formats, including HDMI, VGA, DIN10, composite, and component ports, as well as a 3.5mm audio jack and digital audio port. An expansion slot for the upcoming SuperDock accessory will add additional ports (USB-A x4) later this year.

Retro Remake is the first major console maker to release such an FPGA-based device, with future models planned. The company also offers DIY upgrade kits for older systems like the Nintendo Switch Lite, but the SuperStation One represents a significant step into retro gaming innovation.

This preorder opportunity provides fans of classic games and experimental tech a chance to own a piece of gaming history with enhanced capabilities beyond traditional emulators.
