Apple could soon launch its highly anticipated Black Unity band for the 2025 Apple Watch alongside merchandise updates at its stores. A hidden code found in tvOS 18.3 RC suggests this release is imminent, with a potential January 29th unveiling. Last year, similar updates included new watch faces and wallpapers, as well as grants to various organizations like Boys & Girls Clubs and the National Museum of African American Music.
The company has historically released Black Unity bands around mid-January each year, starting in 2021 with a black, green, and red color scheme. This year’s updates might include new watch faces or wallpapers, following last year’s release which added a special wallpaper for iPhones and iPads that activated flowers when the display was active.
Apple also granted grants to organizations like the Studio Museum in Harlem and Battersea Arts Centre last year. Whether this year will see similar initiatives remains uncertain, but fans of the Black Unity series can look forward to more updates as the official announcement nears.
