NASA’s Blue Marble Lander Captures Earth Before Journey to Moon

NASA’s Blue Ghost lander successfully captured an Earth view similar to the iconic “Blue Marble” image, traveling from Florida. The spacecraft, carrying 10 NASA payloads, is en route to the Moon via the Orion spacecraft. Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost launched on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket in January, achieving its first Earth-orbit burn with stunning visuals. The photo was taken at an impressive 4,163 miles above Earth, offering astronauts a rearview mirror look as they prepare for their Moon journey. Meanwhile, the lander will return to Earth via Orion and then launch later to softly touchdown on the Moon near Mons Latreille in Mare Crisium by March 2.
