Ubisoft Cuts 185 Jobs Across Studios

Ubisoft has announced plans to reduce its workforce by cutting jobs at several European studios, including closing one entirely. The company is eliminating 185 positions across Ubisoft Düsseldorf, Ubisoft Stockholm, and Ubisoft Reflections, with Ubisoft Leamington completely shutting down. This restructuring aims to focus on key projects and cut costs for long-term stability.

The closures will impact approximately 100 employees at two UK studios—Leamington and Reflections—and the remaining 85 jobs will be at Düsseldorf and Stockholm through targeted restructurings. Ubisoft clarified that a small number of Leamington staff will work remotely as part of this transition.

In 2023, Ubisoft reported significant job cuts, including the closures of Freejam, Splash Damage, and Jar of Sparks last year. Enad Global 7 (EG7) has also announced plans to wind down Toadman Interactive, leading to job losses at Piranha Games.

The company is committed to supporting affected employees during this transition and will assist them through the process. Further adjustments to Leamington’s workforce are expected in the coming months.
