Apple Updates iOS, Mac, iPadOS with Security Fixes

Apple released security updates for its iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices on Monday. A new feature called Apple Intelligence was turned on by default in newer models. The batch of software updates also fixed several bugs, including a zero-day vulnerability exploited by hackers against older iPhones running iOS prior to 17.2. This bug affected Core Media, which powers devices like iPads, Macs, Apple Watches, and the Vision Pro headset. Apple didn’t credit any researcher for discovering the exploit but acknowledged it was the first wild exploit of its kind in iOS this year. Apple has fixed at least seven such vulnerable bugs so far in 2024 according to TechCrunch.
