The **Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2** update is ready for download ahead of today’s launch, with patch notes available now. Featuring version 1.068.000 and weighing in at 19.907 GB on PlayStation 5, this update will soon precede Season 2 starting at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm UK time on January 28.
Season 2 includes:
– Enhanced weapon tuning, spawn logic improvements, and bullet penetration updates.
– A challenge tracker with details about camo challenges, equipment, perks, field upgrades, and wildcard features.
– New ranked cross-play options across consoles.
– Adjustments to ranked play SR gains/losses and HUD preset tweaks.
– Bug fixes for Zombies and other issues.
Anti-cheat improvements are also a focus, with enhanced detection of aim botting and stricter account trust measures to target cheaters. Activision emphasized precise anti-cheat tools starting this season, aiming to provide a safer and more enjoyable experience.
Season 2 also introduces a new Battle Pass packed with exclusive weapons and cosmetics. Over 110 unlocks (excluding BlackCell) include three base weapons, an underbarrel crossbow attachment, operator skins, weapon blueprints, and additional content.
The Season 2 maps include Bounty, Dealership, and Lifeline in 6v6 formats, plus new modes like Overdrive and the fan-favorite Gun Game in week two.
Season 2 will feature four new weapons: PPSh-41 SMG (Battle Pass), Cypher 091 Assault Rifle (Battle Pass), Feng 82 LMG (Battle Pass), and TR2 Marksman Rifle (Event Reward).
